Welcome to the website of the Society of Derbyshire Golf Captains.

The Society has, over the last 40 years, brought together Captains and Past Captains of Golf Clubs in Derbyshire not only to play golf but also to enjoy the friendship of others who have held the honoured position of Captain of their Golf Club.

A series of in house Competitions for members are arranged each year in Derbyshire and Inter-County Matches against ten other Captains Societies are keenly, though cordially, played.

In March each year an Annual Dinner is held when some 200 attendees meet to enjoy a popular social occasion which is also attended by representatives of other Societies, members of local Golf Unions and concluded with a response by a guest speaker.

Membership is invited from Captains of clubs affiliated to the Derbyshire Union of Golf Clubs, together with Past Captains of other clubs who relocate to Derbyshire. All enquiries for membership are welcomed to the Honorary Secretary.
